How to pray, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven," using the wilderness tabernacle as our model. The Tabernacle, the place where heaven and earth come together now resides within the believer individually and in the body of the ecclesia corporately.
The foundational assertions I’m going to make are:
- Knowing the purpose for which you were created will clarify the path in life and business you choose to walk and the way you walk it. Ephesians 2:10
- We cannot truly know why on earth we’re here until we engage the One Who created us in an ongoing conversation, with more listening than talking. Ephesians 2:6
- The wilderness Tabernacle God instructed Moses to build after the Exodus from Egypt may serve as a useful framework to guide our prayer lives and our spiritual imagination. However, it is not a recipe. It is only a shadow of the reality we live in now. But it may help us use our spiritual eyes and imaginations to “see” what is truly real and eternal in the present. Once aware of God’s Presence, we have an opportunity to both bring something to God as well as bring something back from Him to share.
- I believe the main thing we bring back from this conversation with God, among many other things, is clarity and alignment of purpose.
Lift up your face so you may see the ultimate and eternal realities. Take new ground. Bring back to earth what God has given you from heaven… from between the cherubim… and be who God always intended you to be from the beginning when He birthed you in His mind and heart.
