Conversation Club Luncheon

Oasis City Church is partnering with International Friendships Inc. (IFI) to host an "English Conversation Club Luncheon" to give international students the opportunity to practice English with us while we share Christ’s love with them. Many internationals have never heard of Jesus, never gotten to know a Christian, and never been inside a church.

You may serve for one or all of the CONVERSATION CLUB LUNCHEON dates. Our preference is that you try to participate in ALL but please do not let that deter you from serving when you can. We appreciate your time and investment into these amazing international students!

We are looking for people who are willing to do one of two things:

1. Sit down with a student and simply have a conversation over lunch. Volunteers who meet personally with international students are required to complete a 2-hour training course and a background check that IFI will conduct.

2. Bring a dish lunch to be shared with the students and the participants. Anyone can assist with this. Training is not required

Join our group to rsvp to this event, and someone will be in contact with you regarding training and how you would like to participate: as a conversation partner (background check required) or to provide food/help with cleanup (no background check required)
